In today's day and age, everyone at one time or another needs a little bit of encouragement or reinforcement that they are on the right track towards achieving their goals. If you are one of those people, chances are Dr. Carley might be able to help you.

"I have an insatiable curiosity," says Dr. Carley. "I think that's a strength for a coach and it has certainly been an asset in discovering keys to success."

Originally from South Jersey, Dr. Carley now lives in Media, PA, with her two teenage sons. She has travelled the world exploring human potential from South American and Thai jungles, various temples, churches and other places of worship. From the African Bush to some of the world's finest museums and universities, Dr. Carley has studied and worked alongside scientific, spiritual and cultural thought leaders; indigenous elders, as well as academics and experts.

After graduating college with a degree in Music Therapy, Dr. Carley went on the road singing and dancing in front of show bands. She also did some acting at Walnut Street and Annenberg Theaters and travelled a couple of summers as a single vocalist, playing piano and guitar by herself. She stopped almost all performing while she raised her kids and developed my coaching and speaking practice.

During her six years of doctoral work, Dr. Carley completed a 3-year coaching program. Despite being a life coach however, there are times everyone needs to turn to others for inspiration, even Dr. Carley.

"I have awesome friends and professional acquaintances who are generous and wise," she says. "I keep up with my own coaching so I've had a number of different types of coaches who have been a tremendous support, including a couple of great mentors right now named Jack Zufelt and Stefanie Hartman. I'm now in a year long MasterMind group and that's been a great resource."

"I've been highly influenced by extraordinary people in my life. I had great parents and have had the opportunity to work intensively with some true visionaries who touched me deeply. I'm very influenced by Gandhi, Philosopher Matthew Fox (philosopher), and consciousness experts like Deepak Chopra."

In fact, Dr. Carley recently helped co-author a book with Chopra: Stepping Stones to Success, vol 1., along with Jack Canfield & Dr. Denis Waitley. The book was a dream come true for Dr. Carley.

"I was thrilled to be asked to be among such great contributors," she adds.

Dr. Carley's coaching practice serves successful leaders, professionals & entrepreneurs as well as the United Nations community, where Dr. Carley plays an active role.

"I had a nagging sense that I wanted to contribute more to the greater good," Dr. Carley recalls. "I spent time on the UN website and found a UN based non-governmental organization in Geneva with the same name as my business at the time, Wisdom at Work, so I contacted them."

"It's incredibly rewarding work - most people go to work there because they have strong values. And the documentation and promise of the UN is all values-related."

Who you are or what your background is doesn't matter to Dr. Carley. She will work with anyone, as long as you have an open mind and are willing to be coached.

"The only real requirement is a phone," says Dr. Carley. "My clients are all over the US, Canada and UK. It's also important that someone is coachable and that the chemistry is right so we usually do a complimentary exploratory call to determine whether or not we're a match. They need to understand that coaching isn't therapy. My fee is $250/hr so clients need to have enough at stake to make it worth it. I generally work with decision-makers, thought leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals and corporate and civic leaders."

"A big part of me doesn't care whether I'm coaching someone who starts talking to me in a grocery line or the leaders I work with at the United Nations. I made a clear decision not to become a life coach because I do my best work with people who are already highly motivated and who tend to be innovators and who have the power to implement their visions. I'm like an Olympic coach in that no Olympian hires a coach to fix a broken ankle, they coach for excellence."

With everything on her plate, you would think that Dr. Carley has her hands full. Hardly. She is about to launch the Profiting on Principles Interview Series

"No matter where you are in your career/business trajectory, you can re-use the material and you'll move forward professionally, guaranteed," insists Dr. Carley. "It's economical for people who aren't ready to make the financial commitment to one on one coaching.
